Community-decision: future token name - $SLC 💰

Do you have kids or maybe a dog? Do you remember the moment you gave them a name? How did that make you feel? Probably super proud! Well, that’s what we feel like as well and the best thing about this is, that everyone of our community members can feel equally proud!

Because YOU decided our future token name!

“Wait, what? Are you comparing a kid to a token name?” Ok, ok, maybe we have to admit it’s not quite the same but we trust you get us…

Anyways, the cool thing about our future token name is the way it was decided. Obviously aside from the fact that it really is a cool name!

So let’s recap:

Phase 1: On Sept. 27th, we asked all of our followers on Twitter on Twitter to provide suggestions for potential token names. You crazy people provided ca. 80 different suggestions! Kudos!

Phase 2: After the team created a shortlist of 9 token names, the next step was, to involve our Discord-community to vote their favorites amongst these 9 suggestions.

Phase 3: Aaaand we’re back to Twitter! The four most liked token names from Discord made it to the final stage! On October 6th, these four tokens names, were added to a Twitter-Poll which received a total of 313 votes 🤯 And honestly, that was really an overwhelming feedback for us! This many votes really show how committed our community is to Silencio and that participation on these kind of decisions is valued by all of you!

And the winner is…🥁

$SLC - Silencio Token - With a total of 56.9% of the votes, you decided that $SLC will be our future token name!

_{Juuust a small remark here: Yes, we want this token name to be our future token name. However, unforeseen things can happen, so until it’s live we can’t be certain that this will work out. But we’re planning on sticking to this name!}

Gamification-Features are on their way! 🚀

We want to make sure you enjoy the time you spent with Silencio and also ensure that our users return! Sooo, we’ve come up with some amazing and fun gamification features and other updates that will be released over the next couple of weeks! We are conducting testing within our Community right now…

Oh yes, you’ve heard that right! Silencio has not only been accepted to join the Google Web3 Startup Program but also we’ve been upgraded to the “Scale”-Tier which is the highest tier in this program!

This will bring us a variety of benefits, including financial support in the form of credits for Google Cloud and Firebase, access to Google hosted events and live training, as well as a personal contact for business and technical issues!

Guest-Article - DePIN @ MunichX 🎙️

As you might already know, we’re appointed to be heading the newly founded Web3 Accelerator MunichX. If you don’t, well then read all about it in Episode 3 (click me, I’m a link to Episode 3).

Our good friends over at MunichX are publishing articles on Medium as well, and this time, they’ve had a dive into DePIN. So naturally, we were quite happy about this and will share it with you here accordingly.

To make your mouths water a bit, here’s a short extract:
